Also I have a reloader, have not started reloading yet but that is the direction I am moving towards. Any input would be really appreciated, thanks. a basic comparison between the m1 garand with the m14/m1a paper target on ebay: - please check out and support the people who help. I am also planning to build a ar10 mostly for the fun of it. I already have a FAL also just wondering if I would much better off if at all with a M1A or something like that vs the FAL. I got other guns to reach out beyond the 4/500 yard range if I'm in the mood. What kind of effective range have you gotten with yours, what barrel length do you have, and what size groups can you shoot, 100-400/500 yards. The overall length of the Garand is 43.6 while the M14/M1A is about 44.3. I’vegot a ME cabinetnot GI but can’t find a pistol in 30 carbine currently rolling with a 9mm Tokorev. I have both Carbines, but my heart belongs to the M1. I know ballistic wise I can really only go so far with the round, just because it will punch paper doesn't mean it will be going fast enough to be extremely effective at 1000 yards.Īll that for this, I want input on range and grouping. The M1 Garand, M14 (M1A) and M1 Carbine just seem to do it better. And although the most desirable M1s are those made by Winchester, some sellers may charge slightly more for a Garand with a Winchester receiver even though the rest of the parts are not marked 'W.R.A. I am planning on turning it into a EBR for those of you who know what that is check it out they are awesome. I've heard they are pretty accurate for a semi auto. I've been debating buying a M1 or something along that lineup of guns.
